and, i would like to introduce you all to my camera:
yes, this is a picture of me, but it is also a picture of my camera. it's a great one and the best i have ever had!
*Olympus SP-55OUZ
it really can take great pictures. obviously some better than others but that is the cameraman's fault.

trashy teal grandmother pants boojah!

bad picture quality. this is just the legs...

looking so awkward as usual. rather, haggard?

today at Savers thrift store, my all time favorite and most frequently visited Op shop, i purchased three things, Om idol bracelet, grey blue yellow plaid shirt, and these looser pants. i tried on so many cool pants today, and these were the ones i brought home. XD. i tried a pair of black and fuchsia acid wash jeggings (too big), mustard skinnies (too short legged, too tight waist), many pairs of 80s high waist black mom jeans (too tight), ancient purple pants (disintegrating and hole in the butt area). so that was lame. but these foul nana pants were great quality, new, and just right for me to age into, my skin, molding to the fabric as i become sedentary, one of the couch, a true, grandmother!
but seriously, these were cool! and i can wear them low and slouched down like street pants. it's fun the things you can do with pants that are too big. i know, the photo suggests me to have a muffin top. i actually didnt so.... uh.... thats a false notion.

i took this right when my camera batteries died and quite frankly im not sure why i did what i am doing here.

white choker; handmade by me, heart necklace; Hot Topic, bee pendant; PacSun, sweatshirt; JCPenny but trashed by me, plaid shirt; yard sale, gems tank top; H&M, floral harem pants (a favorite recent buy); H&M, pink socks; Betsey Johnson, shoes; thrifted Vans, charms (actually attached to my cell phone which is in my pocket); asstd chinese shops, online, gifts, thrifted, japan, unknown (i dont remember all of them), bracelets; thrifted, handmade, gifted, and one of them is Juicy Couture, bag; Savers thrift store shopping bag with some fun purchases inside!!!!.... and i hope that is all. that really was a lot of clothing and i wish i could be more specific about the bracelets and charms.

i have recently been going for a grunge look. as you can tell, very very grungy. my inspiration as of now is Nylon Street Style book, mainly, London, i suppose? maybe to most of you i just look sloppy.... maybe this isn't fashion. but, my thought is that the best kind of fashion you can create for yourself is the kind that makes your mother throw up. oops, that would make it trashion.
today was actually a trial of different places i can take photos of myself. for most of these, i had the camera propped up on stuff. the thing is, no one wants to take my picture twenty times everyday. those willing suck at taking pictures of me. i don't have a tripod either so i really do have to get creative sometimes. hopefully i will have more opportunities to go out and shoot my outfits each day to properly keep up with this blogging. im just so jealous of all the perfect bloggers out there. someone takes their pictures, they always look perfect, and their blogs are perfect too. that, quite frankly, is not me. at all. im just a mess in general. i suppose my blog reflects that in me?
i also understand that i look ill (as in sick (as in diseased, not cool or rad) in these pictures. my makeup routine recently has included the following: make yourself look like you might die if someone isn't watching. il have to go back to normal because this doesn't photograph well.
and also, im not actually as short as the camera suggests me to be. im 5'7. normal height. and yes, i know that i do not have the 'typical fashion blogger body' that means, i know im not a waif. and yeah, it is hard to get things that fit me sometimes. and no, just because it fits, does not mean it looks good. just a bit of grandmother wiseness for you.
i follow my own personal aestheticism. keep this in mind. in those pictures, i look perfect.

i freakin love people

no clue why my face looks all fuzzy... anyways, this is my own personal style: ethnic grunge. my usual default for when i don't want to try to put together some sort of theme outfit. yay for trashion!
thrifted sweatshirt that i trashed myself, yard sale men's plaid shirt that i trashed myself, H&M tank top, Target leggings, handmade nacklaces and earring, H&M brooch.
this whole week i have been dressing like this. i don't really know why. i think next week i might revert back to my victorian vintage and little dresses. i just like the way grungey feels. it's like the 90's all over again like as if im dressing as Rayanne Graff (A.J. Langer) from My So-Called Life. i usually let my hair get really matted and i wear light brown eyeshadow/liner which ends up looking really dirty. i have a few sweatshirts that i cut the sleeves off and pinned graphic t designs to the backs. i wear these with my plaid shirts and some junk pants. haha im so lame.

crap. i had to edit this because i went back and realised i completely zoned out and didnt write what i was actually going to. anyways, the reason why i love people is this:
While walking home from the bus stop today, dressed in my grungey clothes (?)which i suppose could be mistaken for punk(?), some car drove by and the guy in the passenger seat rolled down the window and did the hand gesture for 'rock on' towards me. you know, index finger and pinkie finger out? that one. it was funny. i laughed and gave a fist pump in the air for him. i love people like that. he was cool. not the kind of guys that yell 'freak' or 'hot damn' out their windows. i liked this guy. yay for people! and (?)yay for me(?) but i wasn't really thinking i looked appropriate for 'rocking on'. rather, 'go back to the dumpster from whence you came'.
